The Bogleheads’ Guide to Investing
If you only have time to read one book, read this one. While it is geared mostly towards US readers it still is a book anyone interested in investing should have read.

A fantastic overview of successful investing strategies with lots of great analysis included. Definitely a must read for anyone looking for a deeper understanding of financial markets and investing.
Your Money or Your Life: 9 Steps to Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Achieving Financial Independence
Reading this book has been an eye-opener for me. It teaches great financial planning techniques, but most importantly teaches you the true cost of consuming and offers a new way to look at life.
